Today was the day we have been waiting for the midway ultrasound for number 3... after waiting the last 20 weeks I don't think it lived up to our expectations though. Number 3 is a little shy I guess or hard headed based on our genes. The final decision "Probably a girl, but don't bet the house on it." For us that is the safe side of the fence to lean towards anyway. It doesn't require any new things and we have a whole slew of clothes set. Maybe some new newborn things since the girls wore those for almost a year and wore them out but thats not much to worry about. Had they leaned boy then we would be in a sticky place wanting to shop for blue boyish things. So the name... if it turns out to be a boy we will use the name we had picked during our first pregnancy - Samuel and call him Sam, if it is a girl then she will be Mary though this was just discussed today and might be subject to changes. Middle names are both up in the air. I'll scan an ultrasound picture tomorrow for everyone to see.

The main point of the day though was good. The baby no matter what it is, is very healthy and weighs in at the right sizes for gestation which are magical words to us. All organs are right and everything looks great. So we are happy. Even though I really don't like surprises...
Comments:
I guess great minds think alike...Tim and I are expecting a boy and will call him Samuel. Would you still use that name if there is already someone in the family named Samuel?

Ashley is a nice middle name. Though, it doesn't go with Mary. :-) So, are you big fans of Mary Martin a la Peter Pan fame? That was my first thought. :-) I love the name Samuel! I can't wait to hear what names you decide on.
