Some times we have traffic jams but they seem to clear quickly. Emma ia also demonstrating the fine art of going through the tunnel with books.

I'm trying to post a few pictures that give you an idea of the excitement though nothing can do it fully but being here in person.

The twins club had a sale this past weekend that was huge. Jenny worked it and we also shopped some. We got some winter clothes and winter coats for the girls and we got this... a play hut. This is pure fun for the girls. They play all day in it versions of hide and seek and peek a boo. They also take books and toys in the the little tents and read and play. It's so fun to watch them.

I don't remember what animal we were looking at but it was obviously interesting.

This past weekend Jenny's parents came up for a quick visit to get in some baby time... sometimes you just can't wait till the next visit. We went out to the zoo and everyone had a blast. After the zoo and lunch everyone was so tired the entire house took a nap (some napping to a golf game others in respective beds/cribs).

Yes folks, I do still take pictures occasionally. Hope you enjoy these.
We had our first bite yesterday and all over a push popper thingy. For me it was hard because like all the TV fights among kids I did not know who started it or who had the toy first I could only punish the biter -- Kate (also the kid with the most teeth). I felt bad as it may have been her playing with it originally and Emma tried to steal it but alas "We don't bite".
I have also created a way to get medicine into Emma. Since we love getting juice in straws I have started pushing it into the straw using the syringe that she hates and then placing my finger over it and letting it slide into her mouth. She sucks it down this way. James says I have to follow it with real juice since that's what I'm telling her it is. As long as she takes it easily I'll follow it with whatever she wants. Score one for Mom!
I'd like to think that my needle was more painful than the girls'. I had to have a filling replaced today and the dentist put more numbing stuff in that I think I've ever had before. The result is that it will probably be quitting time before I can feel the right hand side of my face (faith is how i'd say it currently).
The girls had their 15 month check up today (even though they will be 16 months on Sunday). He seemed pleased that we had gained a little bit more weight. Not enough to get excited over but at least we are gaining. Emma is at 16 pounds 4 ounces and Kate is 18.5 pounds. Turns out Emma has an ear infection. We would have never known it without the appointment she has been her normal Emma self and pulling at her ears is something she has always done while sucking her thumb. It made me feel like a bad nurse because I was completely oblivious. Now we get the fun and daunting task of getting Amoxicillin in her twice a day. So far the first dose ended up all over her, here's hoping we can get enough in her over the next 7 days to actually do something.

These are some pictures from our last trip to Tally a month or two old but too cute not to share. The girls loved these two chairs, one is rocker and the other just a chair, though they would try to make it rock also.

This is probably the biggest grin we have on camera for Kate.

Emma playing with Pappy's hat. She will wear them for a little while and gets a kick out of seeing how fast she run before they fall off.
Yesterday the girls and I went to our first story time at the library. Surprisingly they sat through it and seemed to enjoy it a lot. We brought home some children's books for the week on fish (mostly to look at the pictures), I thought we would pick a subject/object each week. After the library we went to have a picnic lunch with James but with it being over 100 here in the middle of the day (welcome to "the frying pan of the south") we went to a local mall that is now pretty empty and had a picnic at one wing that only has two stores in it. The girls got to run around a large fountain and we all enjoyed lunch. Might even pick that spot again. Airconditioned picnics are pretty nice. Don't worry we sat on a bench in mall we didn't spread out a blanket or anything crazy like that.

Since we have southern girls it was time for a lesson in southern ways. The girls enjoy reading anything with you as long as there are pictures and you turn the pages quickly. Currently though Kate's favorite book to carry aronud is one that I am reading... Sinclair Furguson's Growing Grace. It has no pictures and I'm pretty sure is a little over her head theologically.

This is Kate (with fellow fish lover Aunt Anna) spotting fish at the aquarium. Ish... ish... ish!! She had a great time, we all did really. We had heard that the crowds would be bad and yes there were lots of people but we got to see everything.
