For the first weekend in we can't remember when we got to stay at home and piddle. Its a fine art... piddlnig is... but I think we mastered it Saturday. James worked on the Subaru and the computer while I slowly accomplished lots of little tasks that have been put aside for many weeks during the "great sleep" of the first trimester... one being balancing the check book... James made chili that cooked most of the day and then we had a neighbor over to enjoy the eats for dinner. Its good chili you'll have to try it some time. Sunday was a normal Sunday and now we must rest up for the beginning of yet another week. Sometimes it feels like we are stuck in a little spinning wheel and we can't seem to figure out how to get out. Mondays keep coming and weekends keep flying by. Maybe someday...
So, this week has been absolutely crazy. If you ever have a choice between making a business trip in one day or two, choose the two day - sleep in a hotel - option. I woke up Monday morning at 3:30 to get to Savannah to catch a flight up to PA. Almost missed by connecting flight and ran to catch it and I found out exactly how not-in-shape I really am. It took about 5 hours total to do this tech support/ installation and then I drove back to the airport. I will never again fly *nited again. The ...nite... part of their name means that you won't see daylight from a plane. Yeah, so with delays, I got back into Savannah at 12 and had to wait for an hour to get my luggage. I got home at 2 and felt nasty enough to take a shower.
Woke up at 7 Tuesday to get to a meeting. Worked until I was almost dead (4:30pm) went to an extra long Multiple Blessings meeting in Savannah with Jenny to get home at 10:15.
THEN... I woke up at 5 Wednesday to drive down to Orlando for the day. 5 hours on the road, couple hours in another meeting, and another 4.5 hours on the road and I'm back at work. I did get a good nights sleep last night though... woke up once with a horrid aching going on in my right temple. Maybe Jenny is taking out some frustration in her sleep.
I have no life other than work. Interesting that is what my life has become!!! Work... I need some play. I guess that is what the weekend is for. Ah... weekend is almost here.
So, my family is in town for the weekend. We enjoyed a very enjoyable dinner with my dad last night. He stayed over for conference procedings very early this morning (early being any time earlier than I get into work, which isn't saying much). We are supposed to hang out with the rest of the family after they check into their condo later today!! Fun stuff... relaxing at the beach... on a Friday... after work... family... some RUF songs maybe...
Man... twins... you think you are lucky to be expecting your first child and then you are told that your second is on its way, too. Wild world that we live in. Jenny and I are ecstatic, as you might imagine.
Well, here is the official announcment. Jenny and I are expecting our first.... and second. Twins!!!!!!!!!!! We got our first ultrasound today and decided to post it for all you Martin fans and Martin fans.
