It's snowing!! I wish it wasn't 10pm cause the girls would love it!
Yes I know we are silly and any northerner thinks that our 0.005 inches of snow is not snow, but to us this is blizzard weather :) It is sticking to the ground at least.
Happy New Year! And for that matter Merry Christmas too! We have been busy around here with holiday things and family. James took almost 2 weeks off and we stayed home for the first time in years. It was a very nice holiday, and the girls loved Christmas. They thought everything under the tree was for them and helped everyone open there presents.
We are now back to our usual routine. James headed back to work yesterday and seemed to have a pretty good day though it was still work and not playing around the house. The girls and I are trying to stay warm but still have fun in this crazy weather. Water on my mother's back porch never unfroze yesterday!! I think it ended up hitting 38 as the high and today has been the same. This morning to stay warm and but still get out I took the girls to "Fun Zone" a place with lots of toys and lots of big inflatable bouncy things. Normally they refuse to enter the room with the inflatable play areas and they just play with the toys. Today after much convincing I got them to try one of the bouncing things by saying over 1000 times that it was just like bouncing on the bed. Once they tried it... they were hooked. Kate bounced for over an hour and Emma joined her for the last half hour. It was great to see them get over something they have been afraid of for so long. Kate's quote for the day "It's not scary, it's like camping." Kate has never been camping nor do I really think she knows what it is.
