Cool flower. Photo taken at Half Moon Bay, CA.

I took this picture a few miles north of the Pigeon Point Lighthouse. There were more smooth stones there than beach. Out past the furthest rock, waves were hitting other jagged rocks and water was shooting 20-30 feet into the air. No surfers here!

I don't typically photograph people, but this guy posed for me so I took his picture. I'm not asking for his permission to put it on my blog. Sorry guy.

This is a picture that I took last Sunday at one of the beaches of Half Moon Bay, CA. There where no shortages of beautiful beaches.

Only when I got home did I see this picture that Jenny's mom took. My girls are so cute. I'm glad they love each other!!

So, you have to guess what this is. In this resolution it is pretty difficult to tell. Okay, I'll tell you what it is. Its called a egg-yolk Jelly fish. I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium on Sunday and they had a pretty huge display of all sorts of Jelly fish. I should post more but until then...

For those of you who don't know... I'm in San Jose at Photonics West. One of those grand things about going on business trips is getting to site-see. I have so many pictures and such a slow processor. Somethings wrong with this computer. I thought you'd like a picture from the left coast. The picture I chose for tonight (I hope to keep this uploading thing up since I figured out how to mount things in Linux tonight) is of Pigeon Point Light House. As you all who check this site out frequently or semi-frequently know, I'm slightly partial to lighthouses. This one is ancient and evidently the keepers house has been turned into a youth hostel. I didn't see any hostel youth while I was there though!!

The girls got there first career day as they found my stethoscope. It quickly became the chosen toy for the morning as the each took an end and sat there playing together. It's not a bad career choice though I may be a little biased.

We got a new carseat this week from Jenny's mom. It will soon be Kate's as she has one more inch until she technically outgrows hers (though she still has 7 more pounds). Emma is the one that is taking the seat for a test ride here.

The girls both love standing at the back door looking out. Normally it is in the late afternoon when James is due home soon. With James out of town right now they are spending more time than usual watching for Daddy.

I didn't get a very good shot of this but I looked it up online to discover that it is a B-25 Mitchell. Both of these guys are WWII era bombers.

Thursday or Friday, Jim came into the office and told me that a B-17 was supposed to be stopping on Hilton Head and you could tour it and ride on it for a fee. Well, being that my place of work backs up to the runway, I got to see them fly in (without paying a fee). This is a picture of the B-17 that flew in.

Well, we have a semi-busy weekend planned. Jenny is on call this weekend. That means we get to try out our new T-Mobile phones out in the wilderness of the surrounding counties. Saturday, she will probably make a visit or two while I'm left with crazy 9 month olds and then I'll leave her with the crazy 9 month olds while I go to the Memorial Health Hockey Classic with the men-folks from church. Big rivalries - GT vs. GA (sing it with me... "the cesspool of the south"... Caroline, how could you), and FU (heheheh) vs. FSU.

We headed down to Tallahassee Wednesday before Christmas to spend time with Jenny's mom before we headed onto the rest of our Christmas tour of the south. We opened gifts their and though Emma and Kate most enjoyed their Weebles, their mom enjoyed the bows.

We had fun doing our first Christmas with the babies. While we were there, I got put to work. I hung 6 new doors for my mother in law and also tacked down some moulding. I may end up shaving those doors every time I go from here on.

We also had our first twin play date with some girls from Grandma's work.

Christmas Eve, we drove from Tallahassee to a beach house that the Preston clan had rented. We hung out, fished, ate oysters, and did very beachy things the entire day. I think most of the day was spent playing scrabble and eating. I think there must have been 30 scrabble games played. Karen must have ran down her laptop batteries on challenged words.

All the grandparents got their fair share of holding in(and baby spit-up).

Kate really enjoyed her Christmas.

Christmas day was enjoyed by one and all. Grandbabies mean more gifts for everyone.

People had decorated for Christmas, St. George style.

On our way to LaGrange, we stopped at the Little Grand Canyon (Providence Canyon State Park, GA). We fed the girls and walked around the wall of the canyon before heading on the rest of our way.

We stopped for the night in LaGrange to visit with Great-Grandy. We had a good time and the girls loved their gifts from Craig and Pam. I think Grandy liked the visit, too.
