Hello from the tired Martins! Mary is 3 weeks old today. I had a far off hope that she would have been an over achiever and started sleeping longer lengths at night by now, but that was just a silly hope on my part. She does have herself on 2.5 to 3 hour schedule and is sleeping in between for the most part. It is quite exhausting though and definitely a part that you push aside in your memory of raising kids until you have to do it again. At least this time around I can feed her and be back to bed in under 25 minutes... I think with E&K for the first month or two it took me almost an hour to get them both fed. I have found myself looking at the older girls and realizing how independent they really are now (compared to Mary that is). You put a plate of food down and they eat it by themselves, they use the bathroom with minimal help, they tell you when they need something, etc. Not to mention the whole, they can walk, talk, sit up and hold up their own heads :)

I hope by the time April comes that I can report that we are getting some long stretches of sleep in at night. Thats not too far fetched. E&K had it down at 8 weeks and were much smaller than Mary starting out so Mary has no excuses in my book. Not to hold children to the standards of their siblings or anything like that...
