I hate punks. Punks break into cars. Punks should have their opposable thumbs removed. Opposable thumbs are a luxury that they lost when they broke into both of our cars early this morning. I'm a little ticked. I really shouldn't have called the cops until when we got home from church because we missed church this morning... had to fill out a police report. On the good side, we have very nice police officers here in Bluffton!
Yes! I made my first "too-loud" toy mod. That's right... I did a hardware hack on a toy. Simple modification but its oh so nice to have a quiet toy.

Emma and Kate have started liking hanging out in the upstairs guest bedroom. Toys, twins, and story books make for a fun time for all!

Doh, Mom!?! What were you thinking?!?

When we are bored, we play with our feet. Maybe I should try this sometime when I get bored at work. (This is Emma.)

"Dad... Kate won't let go of my ear..."

Emma enjoys playtime even when Kate is hitting her in the head.

Kate is making progress toward crawling.
The girls had their 4 month check up today. It is crazy to realize that they are already 4 months old... it seems like just yesterday we were fighting to get them home. Well everyone is doing great, Kate weighed in at 11 pounds even and Emma weighs 9 pounds 2 ounces. Kate is also 2 feet long. By the time she stands up on her own she might be taller than me... :) At home the girls are also do great. They are sleeping 10 hours now. It is wonderful to put them to bed at 10 and not have them wake up till 8. We are actually having to use the alarm clock again so that James can make it to work on time. All of this sleeping has brought on a new favorite comment from strangers "You don't look tired enough to have twins." Should we be dreading future years with these two if it is so easy now??

I have had a rather stressful day today. First, I go to get some cereal out of the pantry and break a bottle of syrup on the kitchen floor (wood floors typically don't do that quite as often). We have had at least two bottles of cane syrup break since we've lived there. Then, on my way into work (late because of syrup) my boss calls from NY to tell me that our next door work neighbors broke our front door window with their truck. So, this morning has been spent in a frenzied, billed to maintenance, work day.
This weekend, we went to Peachtree City, for my cousin Valerie and cousin-in-law Tim's (don't know if that term is correct) wedding. Kate and Emma got some great-grandmother time in, which is always good and never long enough. We stayed at what I thought was a very nice Hampton Inn. Emma did NOT like the room though.
We stopped in Statesboro on the way back to SC. We went to evening service at Trinity and got to see a whole bunch of folks that we don't typically see. Cindy Marshall held Kate for some of the service until Kate decided that it isn't church when your not at
FPC Pooler. Emma was a little stir-crazy also but fell asleep halfway through. Melissa Drury said that she always misses us when we come to church only to find out via this page that we were there that weekend.
Thanks to all for a fun weekend! Pictures to come...

James went to the beach before work the other day. Decided to be artsy with the pictures. Makes Hilton Head look like a peaceful vacation spot... don't be fooled.

Emma and her doll. (Dad can't do quality time with everyone at the same time.)

Kate and Emma went to visit Dad at work. Dad managed to multitask for a minute or two and got some quality checknig on parts done while spending quality time with Kate.
