So even though Jenny was dead tired last night, I drug her out to the Calhoun Street Art walk. It was cool to see a side of our town that I never thought existed. Evidently, Bluffton is busting at the seems with artisans. There was one place that I liked that had huge photographs. I'd love to blow some of my pics up that size. I'm afraid they wouldn't look that great, though. All of the galleries with one exception are older historic buildings in downtown so it was a cool environment, too.
Jenny and I went tire shopping this weekend after spending a few hours making chrismons. While we where waiting for our tires, we went to the mall and got Jenn some motherhood clothes. Everyone knows that guys and girls try on clothes differently and this was no different than any other shopping trip... I got bored. We went to Statesboro, too, to hang out with my family on Sunday. Its always fun to go home.
Well, we went to the Greater Bluffton Republican club's victory bash last night. Jenny talked with some rose horticulturists and had a good time talking to them... evidently next year, we may be going to walk through a rose garden. We had a blast hanging out with old friends and making new ones. The town mayor even showed up. He ate with us and Jenny told him what we think of the whole increase-our-tax plan.
So, Jenny and I went to my parents this weekend. We hung out and celebrated my mom's and sister's (Ellen's) birthday (same day). I went to the driving range with my dad and Ellen. Ellen is evidently taking a golf class at GSU as her PE. Thats a lot cooler than speed walking or underwater basket-weaving or most of the other stuff taught/taken at Southern. I never had to have any PE credits, mainly because engineering makes you fat. Basically any way you look at it, no matter what you do to stop it, sitting at a desk all day requires no energy. To all you out there who think typing burns calories... it doesn't burn enough to save you from the inevitable.
In other news, Jenny and I listened to/for the babies' heart beats last night with the stethoscope. I wonder whether my power meter at work would pick those beats up.
And, our doctor quit the practice that she was working for and left town. As if being pregnant isn't stressing enough, she had to go and leave town without telling anyone. She actually shouldn't be in charge of telling everyone... the practice should have done that. HOWEVER, they did not until we called to verify that we had an appointment tomorrow. Were they ever going to call... the world shall never know. Curses.... better luck with the next doctor.
