Yesterday I had a once in a blue moon moment. James came home and remarked how messy the living room with the girls toys (not the strange thing) and Kate decided that she was going to clean up. She took all the toys and put them in the basket, all the books went in the box she even put kitchen toys with the play kitchen. She kept saying "clean up go shopping". I asked her what she was going shopping for and she told me ketchup and mustard... It was wonderful though in a few minutes the living room was almost neat and tidy. James had to run the vacuum but maybe someday she can learn that skill too. I know not to get my hopes up too much on her actually cleaning on a normal basis but it was nice.

The funny part came in though when she demanded that Emma put away the toys that she was playing with. Kate took them from her and put them in the basket, Emma goes over to get them back out and Kate kept taking them and putting them away again. Emma didn't see what she was doing wrong but Kate was very upset at her and kept saying "clean up" in a very 2 year old demanding way. I admit that I sat there just laughing at the two of them. Something we probably do way to much...
