So, not like anyone is really interested in what I am doing this week or anything while Jenny and the girls are in Tallahassee, but I'm going to tell you anyway. Serves you right for not knowing that I was the only one home . With the girls away, I have had lots of spare time.

Yesterday, at lunch, it was already sort of setting in that I didn't have to be at home so I went on a walk/ junking. I've been told that junking is the cool way of saying I went antiquing without having my man-card ripped from my hands. I am a sucker for junk. I bought a phone. Not just any phone though. I bought a rotary dial phone, made in 1958 by Bell Systems with the 425B network. The Sipura has a hard time driving the ringer but that's okay. I was quite happy with my find. Even happier when I was cleaning it and I found the original number... GLendale- 6- 1155. Try asking the operator to connect you with that number. She'd probably think you were some senile old escapee from a old folks home.

This morning I went to the most pointless yard sale ever. Maybe it was just that I went 2 hours after it started. I'm not really sure but that is likely the reason that there wasn't anything there. Then I came home and did some chores around the house, locked the dog up so she wouldn't jump the fence, and went to work to study in the quietness I like to call "Spirit on the weekend." I spent a while studying and then I went fishing. Caught my first four fish in Lake Murray... they just happened to be so small, its surprising they actually fit on the hook. I've been spoiled by having a stocked pond in the back yard, let me tell you.

Take care.
