We had a long and relaxing weekend until last night. Friday, I guess was the start of the weekend and Jenny brought the girls and we had lunch at Finlay Park. It started raining at the tail end and rained until later that night.
Saturday, we woke up early and went to the Riverbanks Zoo. I think Kate still likes Petsmart better. By getting there early, we tend to get a better look at the animals and its not nearly as hot. We usually spend an hour there anyway, but the hour is more enjoyable if its still cool. Also, something to note is the animals seem to have more character early. The wallabys were really active where in the afternoon they are usually lazing around. The elephants weren't up yet. The zebras were their normal elusive selves. And the ostriches were eating pinestraw by the bale. Later in the morning we went to Lowes and bought a whole lot of new light fixtures. Just another purchase of projects for the house. They had a good rebate at Lowes on fans this weekend. We didn't get the really good deal because they'd already sold out. Jenny wanted a fan for our room that had a remote... those cost money though. Maybe after we make our first million.
Sunday, we went to Covenant in the morning. Emma slept through the service. Kate had to go to the nursery about halfway through. They both had temperatures after church. Jenny just assumed it was teeth. We decided to go to the Pooler Pres particularization service. So, to conserve gas, we took the Camry down. It took two and a half hours to get down there. We hung out with some old friends beforehand and afterward. Good service. It was really great to see our old church family. We haven't quite gotten as close to our new church family quite yet. When we got home, Kate was running a high fever and Emma's was cleared up. We debated taking Kate to the ER. The fever came down with some tylenol (note: NOT ibuprofen, we don't like ibuprofen) and a cool bath. They have an appointment this morning to find out whats wrong. Good day to all.
