This weekend was a lot more restful than last weekend.  Friday night we watched a little TV and I studied for an hour before we went to bed.

Saturday, I slept in a little and then got up for a sales presentation for a water filtration company that was supposed to do tests on our water.  We turned them down although I think its something that we would like to do eventually.  When we can drop 6K on a water filter.

We wanted to do something Saturday that was kind of off the beaten path.  I think we succeeded.  We decided that we wanted to go to a state park or something similar.  Here in Columbia, we have a few state parks but we also have a couple of national parks/forests.  We chose to save Congaree National Park for later weekends and went to Harbison State Forest instead.  Harbison has tons of trails inside its thousand plus acres.  We chose a very short trail mainly because it was close to nap time (the girls' nap time) and we didn't know how they would do.  We had a lot of fun and didn't see a single snake.

This weekend is a long weekend with the Fourth holiday and all.  We are trying to head out of town on the 29th and I have Friday and Monday off. We are going down to Tallahassee for some long needed R&R.
