We got a call from the nurse practitioner tonight telling us that Kate's amniotic fluid came back negative on the protein test that tells us whether her lungs are properly developed. What this means, we cannot tell you. There is another test from the same amniotic fluid that will come in tomorrow afternoon, which will tell us some lipid ratio concerning lung development that is more precise than the first test. Supposedly, this ratio is what the doctor will look at to decide whether he delivers Emma and Kate tomorrow (Wednesday) or the next day (Thursday) or possibly (Friday). Its all rather aggravating for Jenny, as she would rather just be told date and time.

So, the short of it is this: we don't even know the day that the girls will be delivered currently because Kate flunked a test. Hope this isn't the start of a trend.
