Hello all. Thought I'd post while I'm at the hospital. Have to post from the medical library.

Kate is at "home" now. We are staying in a hotel room so that we can be close by. Emma is now taking every feed by bottle now. That was her choice. We came in at 11PM last night and she had pulled out her feeding tube (good girl Emma) and ripped the tape off of her mouth. So, rather than put the tube back in, the nurse just fed her by bottle. My esteem for her went up 4 fold.

Hours later, we were told that she had ripped Kate's picture off of the isolet and was holding it or eating it or something. She has ripped her heart and respiration probes off. Her umbilical cord is gone. We think that it's quite possible that was her doing also. She is very energetic when she wakes up and is ready to eat.

Jenny came in and told me that the nurses wanted to do her carseat test today. They have to sit in the carseat and keep good blood oxygen level for an hour. She doesn't fit though. They said there is just too much room in the carseat for her.

So, we are having a pretty good day today. Maybe this week will be as uplifting as last week was dramatically heartwrenching.
